Critics and viewers have highlighted several unique aspects of the film: Squeal (aka Samuel's Travels) - Amazon UK

(often released under the title Squeal ) is a 2021 Latvian dark comedy and fantasy film directed by Aik Karapetian . It is a surreal, "absurdist fable" that blends elements of folklore, dark fairytales, and even a "BDSM kink". Plot Summary

The story follows Sam, an American (or Belgian, depending on the cut) motorist traveling through the remote Latvian backwoods in search of his biological father. After accidentally hitting a piglet with his car, he meets Kirke, the farmer’s daughter. What begins as a quest for family quickly spirals into a nightmare when Sam is imprisoned, chained in a pigpen, and forced into farm slavery. As he struggles to survive among the pigs and a jealous suitor, a "talking piglet" eventually becomes his unexpected ally in a quest for freedom.
