Steve Urkel acquires a tiny BMW Isetta (his uncle Cecil actually paid him $50 to take it). He hopes the car will help him win over Laura, who claimed she’d go steady with the next boy who had his own car.
This episode marks the first appearance of Urkel's signature Isetta, which became a staple of the series.
The climax occurs when Steve accidentally shifts into reverse and crashes the Isetta through the Winslows' garage door. While Carl initially uses his mantra to stay calm, the situation escalates when the garage shelves collapse, causing even more damage and finally causing Carl to explode in rage.
