Elias was a digital archeologist, someone who spent his nights scouring abandoned servers and dead forums for "ghost data." The series was his latest obsession. Parts 1 and 2 had been nothing but encrypted noise—white static that pulsed with a rhythm that felt almost biological. But Part 3 was different. It was the largest chunk yet, and according to the metadata, it contained the "Mapping Logic."

He double-clicked the file. His extraction software hummed, the progress bar crawling forward with agonizing slowness.
